After compiling 2.6.37 I noticed there was no /proc/acpi/thermal_zone

sar@slackware:/proc/acpi$ ls
ac_adapter/  battery/  button/  event  processor/

And in Dmesg I saw this bug being mentioned;

Kernel .config (I have thermal support compiled in.)

No, this means your BIOS have some quirks for Linux, which Linux doesn't use any more.
Do you see any device broken in your laptop?
If yes, please file another bug report for the device issue, together with the acpidump output of your laptop.
