Distribution: gentoo
Hardware Environment: ASUS 3800C laptop with usb 1.1, PCMCIA contained for a
while Kouwell KW-7004 usb 2.0/ieee1394 card + USB 2.0 card reader (re-plugging
this card locked the computer), or at least it seemed so. Needles to say, I've
unloaded the card at the very end (the kernel crash seems to relate to the
unloading procedure).

Software Environment:

Problem Description:

I use acpi with patch for bug 2068. Alt+SysRq+S and B worked. Just before
replugging in the card, I saw very weird lpsci message (see attached image
file). Here is the system log which continues to the lockup (I have full kernel
debug option enabled):

The computer has been booted up with the PCMCIA card plugged in. Once I have
unplugged the card. The computer fan went on max rpm when the PCMCIA card has
been replugged in again. The card was unloaded once, then sys magic keys and reboot.
