ALSA info when combo jack plugged in

When I plug in an external headset with a combo jack the external microphone isn't detected. It only detects the internal microphone.

The attached ALSA info file was taken when the combo jack was plugged in.

The hardware is an Asus ZenBook UX331UN with an ALC294.

Hello, I'd like to revive this. This is still not fixed with ALC294. Zenbook 14 431DA. It detects the input device (shown as raven/raven2/fireflight/renoir). But when selected only static is picked up.
What logs could I provide of interest?
