I've experienced recently a strange behavior on 2 of our Linux servers, which act as firewall machines. I have iptables and LVS(IPVS) running on them. Earlier today while we got some traffic increase ( about 600Mbps ) we started getting the errors you'll see below and a significantly cpu load increase at the same time. Basically the machine became unresponsive. What I noticed is when stopping ipvs everything looks fine. Bellow is the error and the details: Jul 6 15:28:45 fw1 kernel: [46537615.615982] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s!
