i have a blank screen on my laptop. when i log in i get the xubuntu screen they it goes to the blank screen. its the kernel upgrade. i upgraded to 13.10 and upgraded the kernel to 3.11 and the problem began. i think that is is the graphic card driver because when it started once it showed my desktop background then went blank. really love Xubuntu and the Ubuntu family but i could not have do any work for about a week so i just thought i should email you guys. i have an asus mini eeepc 1000HD

Edmund, did you try Daniel's suggestion?
Comment 3 Chris Wilson 2014-02-10 13:21:07 UTC
Don't bother, entirely wrong tree to bark at. But we do need your Xorg.0.log and a drm.debug=6 dmesg.

Timeout. Please reopen if the problem persists with recent kernels.
