That's really bad. We need to know whether this issue only occurs with older stable kernels or also in recent kernel versions. Please verify with a recent kernel version. If I e.g. install nerolinux-4.0.0.0b-x86_64.deb in a VM running kernel 4.13.0-19-generic then it correctly recognizes the Qemu DVD. I have had submitted a fix for exactly this issue with Nero and believe it is gone. Hello Johannes, the only versions of the kernel that seem impacted are kernel 4.9.52-> 4.9.69 I saw your fix for the kernel version 4.12 and I checked it successfully with a 4.12.1 kernel the latest version of the kernel is not affected by this bug. Versions tested and OK: 4.12.1 (with your patch) 4.13.1 4.14.5 I also try kernel 4.10.0-42-generic (VirtualBox, Ubuntu), ok too (In reply to Bart Van Assche from comment #1) > That's really bad. Hello Bart, I compiled and tested version 4.13.1 directly on my laptop Operating System: Debian GNU / Linux 7.11 everything is OK Problem solved with the latest incremental patch (patch-4.9.111-112) |
