Distribution:
RH

Hardware Environment:
ASUS 2400M

Software Environment:
2.6.0-test10 + patch at bug 1557

Problem Description:
I encounter randomly resuming hang from S1 state, after serveral times of sleep
state transition (S1) on ASUS 2400M.

Steps to reproduce:
just run "echo -n 1 > /proc/acpi/sleep" and press power button several times.

a patch for this issue on ASUS 2400

It looks like \\_BFS and \\_WAK should be executed right after "Back to C!" on
ASUS 2400M, otherwise random resuming hang will hang. It semes to be not like
what Spec said. (Regarding _WAK, ACPI spec just said it occurs asynchronously
with other driver notification in the system, and is not the first action to be
taken. Spec. 7.3.5)

luming, do you still have access to this machine to test if 2.6.9 works?
Comment 3 Luming Yu 2004-12-08 01:18:01 UTC
Len, I have access to ASUS 2400NE. However, The S1 is totally broken with
linux-2.6.10-rc2. I'd like to close it as unreproducible.
