As already noted, Dave (dgc) replied about vfs fix for this: http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/3/7/356 For SGI record, this was discovered in sgi-bug#983728, sgi-bug#981671 and were rejected with vfs fix in 2.6.26-rc1. --Tim
