Description marcus.behrendt.86 2015-06-01 06:40:32 UTC
When upgrading to version 4.0.x I noticed that when I unplug or plug my power linux needs a huge time to recognize the new power state. That time span can go up to over a minute.
cat /sys/class/power_supply/BAT1/status hangs and won't print any output for this period.

For example when I unplug power right before I suspend, on resuming the display stays black until the new power state is recognized.

I just tested 3.14 and everything is fine there. I have the feeling that with each kernel release the system needs longer to detect the power state. With 3.19 I had approximately 5 seconds what was still acceptable for me.

I have two other laptops and they do not have this issue.

Please tell me what logs I should post.

PS: Sorry for my bad English.
