There are lots of links to follow ;) It is unclear whether this is a regression. Was this bug also present in all earlier kernel versions?
I'v successfully installed Feisty or Gutsy under this computer.
For the moment i just can say that 2.6.22 works. I'm trying to find ubuntu hardy alpha1 and 2 to test "older" 2.6.24 kernel
Patrice, can you test if you can boot with your plextor drive configured as slave (by jumper) ? Richard.
Ok. I'v set my Plextor PX-740A to Slave on all is working ! GREAT ! I should add for informations that my PX740-A is alone on IDE1 (hdc/hdd)
Ok, so it's the same than mine. It should be marked as duplicate of #10239. (I can't do it myself) (this one is older, but there more accurate informations in #10239)
