Comment 1 Rafael J. Wysocki 2008-01-06 04:51:43 UTC
Not a regression, since it only appears with CPU_IDLE which is new in 2.6.24 (ref. http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/1/6/22).
Comment 2 Rafael J. Wysocki 2008-01-06 14:39:07 UTC
Parag says it is a regression after all, as CPU_IDLE is not necessary for reproducing it (ref. http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/1/6/153).
Comment 3 Rafael J. Wysocki 2008-01-07 16:58:38 UTC
This is a regression from 2.6.22 rather than from 2.6.23 (ref. http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/1/7/335).

FWIW, I'm seeing this issue too.
Comment 5 Mike Hommey 2008-01-24 22:44:50 UTC
And if it matters, i'm seeing this on x86_64
Comment 6 Natalie Protasevich 2008-02-02 00:05:23 UTC
From Parag:
Got this on today's git (2.6.24-rc4) while compiling stuff - Looks
like it is related to CpuIdle stuff.
I chose CONFIG_CPU_IDLE for the first time so I don't know when this
was introduced.

This is on x86_32, SMP.
