Debian reportbug-generated information

I posted this report to the Debian BTS a couple days ago, but I thought it might be a better idea to also post it upstream to the kernel bug tracker.

I recently purchased a PCIe DVB tuner advertised as a

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250

However, what was in the box was actually a more recent revision of the hardware known as the:

Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2255

Looking at my kernel log though, it appears this new device is unsupported at the time of this writing. But despite there being no card selector available for the hvr-2255, I did try each of the three available for hvr2250. Though unfortunately none resulted in available dvb adapters in /dev.

Attached should be dmesg kernel logs for each of cards {3,7,8} with debug=32. Hopefully they are helpful in some way.
