Description Dustin J. Mitchell [:dustin] 2015-01-04 02:58:17 UTC
The best I can determine for reproducing this is that it seems to be related to large (1300+ byte, but under the link MTU of 1500) traffic and/or IPv6. Aside from the microcode errors, I'm seeing failures of IPv6 PTMU discovery (kernel seems to ignore ICMPv6 type 2 messages).

Comment 1 Emmanuel Grumbach 2015-01-05 15:41:29 UTC
unfortunately, we don't fix firmware issues for these devices.
Comment 2 Dustin J. Mitchell [:dustin] 2015-01-05 16:35:58 UTC
Is the device unsupported? Or am I just in the wrong place (not a kernel bug)? I was following the instructions at http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi
Comment 3 Dustin J. Mitchell [:dustin] 2015-01-05 16:50:40 UTC
Also, the device is listed as currently supported for nuc's at
  http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/CS-033763.htm
Comment 4 Emmanuel Grumbach 2015-01-05 17:04:25 UTC
this device has driver support and not firmware support.
You are not at the wrong place, it is just that unfortunately, Intel does not provide support for firmware bugs on these devices.
Driver bugs will still be handled.
