I am running a Dell XPS 13 which is connected to a Club3D CSV 5300 DP hub, which is connected to two DELL Display via DP. The Problem is that the two displays are recognized as one big display. The same hub + displays connected to a Nvidia 660 Ti is recognized as zwo seperate displays. The second problem is that when connected to the Dell XPS everything displayed on the upper left of the left screen is "shaking" and vertical lines are popping up & disapearing. Here is a video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7B7mko4lq6cUmxmaU5BYVY3b2M/view Here is a the output of xrandr from my Dell XPS 13 with the attached DP hub and displays. With the hub connected to my Nvidia, i see two displays that have been identified as DP1.1 and DP1.2 schlitzer@schlitzer-XPS-L322X:~$ xrandr Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 5760 x 1200, maximum 32767 x 32767 eDP1 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 294mm x 165mm 1920x1080 60.0*+ 59.9 40.0 1680x1050 60.0 59.9 1600x1024 60.2 1400x1050 60.0 1280x1024 60.0 1440x900 59.9 1280x960 60.0 1360x768 59.8 60.0 1152x864 60.0 1024x768 60.0 800x600 60.3 56.2 640x480 59.9 VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) HDMI1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DP1 connected 3840x1200+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 518mm x 324mm 1920x1200 60.0 + 3840x1200 60.0* 2560x1024 60.0 1920x1080 60.0 1600x1200 60.0 1680x1050 60.0 1280x1024 60.0 1280x960 60.0 1024x768 60.0 800x600 60.3 640x480 60.0 720x400 70.1 VIRTUAL1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
There have been plenty of updates to DP MST in recent kernel releases. Please try them. If the problem persists with the latest kernels, please file a new bug at the freedesktop.org bugzilla [1]. Thank you. [1] https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI&component=DRM/Intel
