Whenever playing video on google chromium, the system hangs and freezes on display and comes back after 5-10 seconds and then plays the video.

This is likely a dupe of https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80568 (and there are many others which are likely dupes on fdo of that). Unless you can pinpoint this to a kernel regression, I'd advise closing this and tracking there instead, since there is already much history.
