Description Stefan Richter 2007-05-12 11:55:40 UTC
Audio capture through the JACK / FreeBoB drivers fails with the following message:

ohci1394: fw-host0: Unrecoverable error!
ohci1394: fw-host0: Iso Xmit 0 Context died: ctrl[20649806] cmdptr[f000e2c3]

Happens with the following FierWire controller which is found as onboard
controller of a number of relatively current notebooks:

FireWire (IEEE 1394): Ricoh Co Ltd R5C552 IEEE 1394 Controller (rev 08)

From the latter thread: The "event" part of the ctrl bitfield means "evt_descriptor_read = An unrecoverable error occurred while the Host Controller was reading a descriptor block." Not very helpful though.
