This bug was originally posted here ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1359754 ) but I was asked to forward this bug to upstream.

A while ago I noticed after a kernel upgrade that the booting time got slower (~2 seconds). On testing some kernel versions I have also noticed that the console output is much slower if the bug appears (for example dmesg needs 3.5 seconds instead of 1 second). Maybe this causes also the booting delay as my system is configured to not suppress the output on booting. The tests showed that this bug doesn't appear on 3.13.1-031301.201401291035 but on 3.13.2-031302.201402061638. In the linked ticket are also detailed informations of my system environment if needed.
