Can killall chrome to recover. Running google-chrome 36.0.1985.143-1 in kde version 4.14.0-1 with latest kernel linux 3.16.1-1 The journal contains the following lines: Aug 24 10:01:33 home1 kernel: [drm] stuck on render ring Aug 24 10:01:33 home1 kernel: [drm] GPU HANG: ecode 0:0xf5f7fffe, in chrome [11355], reason: Ring hung, action: reset Aug 24 10:01:33 home1 kernel: [drm] GPU hangs can indicate a bug anywhere in the entire gfx stack , including userspace. Aug 24 10:01:33 home1 kernel: [drm] Please file a _new_ bug report on bugs.freedesktop.org agains t DRI -> DRM/Intel Aug 24 10:01:33 home1 kernel: [drm] drm/i915 developers can then reassign to the right component if it's not a kernel issue.
