Description Hadmut Danisch 2007-02-19 01:58:24 UTC
Hi,

a major use of vfat file systems is mounting flash memory cards from digital
cameras etc.

Unfortunately, the VFAT (and neither the cameras) does not handle different time
zones.

Would be nice to have an option like "this card was written in timezone xyz,
please convert times appropriately". Or at least an option which says whether
the camera was set to UTC or not.

regards
Hadmut

Yes, this is needed for some filesystems using localtime.

This bug is very old. Please try on newer kernel.
Cheers Nick
