Description Tigran Gabrielyan 2014-04-22 01:34:09 UTC
I have been tried rc1 and rc2 and both releases cause my laptop to hang after resuming (it works on 3.14).

Hard drive light comes on, but screen remains black and then it hangs (keyboard does nothing) and I have to do a hard reset.

I've attached dmesg log with pm debugging enabled.

Relevant lines (that I can find from searching how to debug this):
[ 1.448880] Magic number: 4:655:508
[ 1.448927] pci 0000:00:01.0: hash matches

lspci:
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Wrestler [Radeon HD 6310]

I have a Samsung RV515 laptop with AMD graphics card using open-source driver.

This sounds like a graphics card driver bug. Could you do a bisect to find which commit cause this issue?
Comment 2 Tigran Gabrielyan 2014-05-05 06:51:07 UTC
I may be able to, but not for a couple weeks unfortunately.
Comment 3 Tigran Gabrielyan 2014-06-05 21:30:59 UTC
It was fixed in RC8. Closing.
