any chance you could try v2.5.62? i wondering if this is related to changes made in 2.5.63 (http://www.linuxhq.com/kernel/changelog/v2.5/63/, grep for "scsi_error handler update")
Trying 2.5.62 yields no oops (like late .69-bk kernels) and no desired functionality either: the compact flash cannot be mounted. The kernel log is filled with "bulk timeout" from the usb subsystem. The usb subsystem is dead: the mouse is not working.
The problem is fixed in 2.5.70-bk5. I can mount the compact flash and copy images off it just fine. Thank you.
