I have ASUS K55V notebook.

When i just start my OS the default temperature is very high. So when i run some more software my notebook is turning off.
I use Fedora 20, kernel 3.15:
# uname -a
Linux tr3x.localdomain 3.13.3-201.fc20.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Feb 14 19:08:32 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Here is output of lm_sensors:

What does powertop show for the CPU residency values ?

Also what is in dmesg for intel idle ?

Is the intel thermal daemon running on this machine ?

Is this a regression -- did a previous release of Linux
give you lower temperatures?

Is there a fan on this notebook, and does it spin?

please attach the output from acpidump
