Bluetooth won't work (can't scan for remote devices successfully) until I apply this patch: http://git.chromium.org/gitweb/?p=chromiumos/third_party/kernel-next.git;a=commitdiff;h=d0422edc46a090ade35953afec3961cc122c2239 The patch simply adds the Product and Device ID to /drivers/bluetooth/ath3k.c and /drivers/bluetooth/btusb.c I can confirm that after applying the patch the bluetooth adapter works (I tested scanning for devices, bonding devices, sending/receiving files so far).

This bug is fixed in kernel 3.15-rc5, I just installed it from debian experimental. I'm able to scan for remote devices successfully now, I was also able to pair the device with bluetooth speakers and use them without any problems.
