Does a passive DP->hdmi cable work by chance (it'll show up as one of the HDMIx connectors)? Otherwise please boot with drm.debug=0xe added to your kernel cmdline, then plug in the DP screen and then grab the complete dmesg and attach it here. Doesn't really matter what userspace is running, this is all in the kernel.

I haven't got an DP->hdmi cable. I only have a DP->DVI cable.
(In reply to mealejan from comment #5) > I haven't got an DP->hdmi cable. I only have a DP->DVI cable. dvi/hdmi work the same electrically, so that works, too. Are you trying to connect your screeen with the DP->dvi cable or with a native DP cable (and native DP screen)? I've looked at your dmesg and the kernel can indeed not recognize any screen ...
I am trying to connect the monitor with DP->DVI cable. I don't have a native DP screen to test it. I also tried a DP->DVI->VGA. Nothing happend. I read that under Windows the adapter works.
Please try a recent kernel and report back.
As I don't have this device anymore I can't test it.
