Description Jan Knížek 2013-08-30 15:23:40 UTC
Hello,
on my laptot ASUS K50IJ works sound just on internal speakers. When I plugg external with jack, there's no sound. If I unmute sound in alsamixer, just internal speakers play. In KERNEL 3.9 it works perfectly.
Thanks.

Do someone know what to do?
Thank you.
Comment 2 Jan Knížek 2013-10-01 17:48:35 UTC
Really nobody?

Your best bet is probably to do a "git bisect" and find the exact kernel change that broke your platform. It is unlikely that any of the developers have the exact same laptop.

Bug moved to sound/alsa - that way it might get seen by audio folk.
Comment 5 Takashi Iwai 2013-11-13 15:38:56 UTC
Please give alsa-info.sh output. Otherwise it's impossible to see where to start debugging.
Comment 6 Takashi Iwai 2013-11-13 15:39:17 UTC
BTW, better to run alsa-info.sh with --no-upload option, and attach the output to bugzilla.

It's likely just a matter of mixer setup.

- turn OFF "Independent HP", and
- turn ON "Auto-Mute Mode"

Thanks a lot, it works now! I don't know why, because I think, I've set it like this.
Thank you for your reply.
