Description Eric Sternot 2013-07-30 03:42:51 UTC
I've had success in the past with creating a USB flash drive that automatically restores to another computer's CompactFlash card an image located on the USB flash drive's second partition. However, when I try this now, the computer never gets past the "Verifying DMI pool data" stage in order to load Clonezilla from the USB flash drive's first partition into RAM. The USB flash drive's first partition is flagged as bootable; the second partition is not. I have run the "makeboot" script from a Windows and/or Linux terminal and have even run the additional command to account for a "buggy BIOS," but it is always to no avail. Right now, my syslinux.cfg script will only automatically load the image onto the CF card of the computer if one USB flash drive contains Clonezilla and another USB flash drive contains the image. Could this be a Linux-kernel-3.10 issue?

Note: this whole setup works fine in a virtual environment.
