Created attachment 106721 [details] kernel configuration in use Hello, i've got a IBM Thinkpad X31 with a ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY. Since the introduction of Kernel Modesetting (KMS), the laptop is unable to wake up from suspend-to-ram-mode. Instead, it immediately freezes and show colorful stripes on the screen. It does not respond to pings or ssh, either. With the nomodeset Parameter, suspend to ram usually works (only seldomly it shows glitches after wake up, but is usable enough to safely reboot the machine.) However, using nomodeset is not an option any more, because the radeon xorg driver dropped UMS support :( I've tried this at least with 2.6.38 from Debian Squeeze backports, 3.7.9, 3.7.10, 3.8.13 (both vanilla and whatever gentoo gives me). Same problem everywhere. I've attached the 3.8.13 configuration. my problem sounds a bit similar to this one, but i don't even see the suspending process in the logfile (that guy has logs about suspending, but not about waking up): https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60251 I would be glad if this could be fixed :) Sincerely yours, flo
Could it have something to do with bug 69801?
