Transferred from https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49201 Hardware: asus transformer book tx300 (4005) Device is found, hciconfig shows bytes sent and received when searching for other devices, but hcitool scan doesn't show devices. When I try to search for the computer with a phone, byte count is not increased, so the sent & received counters may not reflect actual radio traffic. lsusb -v: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13d3:3402 IMC Reply-To: bluefrog2012@gmail.com Hi, Looks this USB PID/VID is not yet supported even by kernel-3.9.6. But the Bluetooth chip should be supported already by ar3k. U just need to add this PID/VID to the ar3k driver's list, and re-compile the kernel. idVendor 0x13d3 IMC Networks idProduct 0x3402 bluefrog2012 From: bugzilla-daemon Date: 2013-06-14 13:54 To: linux-bluetooth Subject: [Bug 59701] New: Bluetooth device is recognize, but doesn't work https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59701 Summary: Bluetooth device is recognize, but doesn't work Product: Drivers Version: 2.5 Kernel Version: 3.10-rc5 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Tree: Mainline Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P1 Component: Bluetooth AssignedTo: linux-bluetooth@vger.kernel.org ReportedBy: jkp@iki.fi Regression: No Transferred from https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=49201 Hardware: asus transformer book tx300 (4005) Device is found, hciconfig shows bytes sent and received when searching for other devices, but hcitool scan doesn't show devices. Can you try this patch ? http://msujith.org/patches/bt/Jun-15-2013/0001-Bluetooth-Add-support-for-ID-0x13d3-0x3402.patch
Thanks, tested on the 3.9.6, it works (had to manually apply though). External monitor is not connected at the moment, so can't test with 3.10 now.
Works also on 3.10-rc5 - noticed that I could test with the console even when X fails to find any screens without an external monitor.
Also works with 3.10-rc6.

Sorry, I have been trying to get legal clearance for non-wireless contribution and it hasn't been going anywhere. Can you please just apply the patch yourself ? Unfortunately, I can't add my Signed-off-by.

Unfortunately, I can't add my > Signed-off-by. I tried to apply myself but it needs rebase. Also I can't apply the patch without your Signed-off-by line since you are the patch author.
I've posted the patch to linux-bluetooth.
(In reply to jkp from comment #7) > Also works with 3.10-rc6. Can you please post the output of /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices ? This is required for patch submission.
