Description Francesco 2013-03-30 21:01:03 UTC
I have an intel i5 3570k with intel hd4000 and I use hdmi output, I don't have any tipe of graphics with this kernel on any distro of linux, the problem is on ubuntu, fedora and archlinux, I only start my distro, with kernel 3.7...
Comment 1 Daniel Vetter 2013-04-02 08:23:15 UTC
Can you please retest on latest 3.9-rc kernels? If it still fails, please boot with drm.debug=0xe added to your kernel cmdline and attach the complete dmesg after booting.
Comment 2 Francesco 2013-04-02 10:22:47 UTC
I can only attach the syslogs, I tried the latest 3.9 rc5 kernel, But I can't see anything, I receive a black screen after boot and some garbage colors.

syslog

This is my syslog
Comment 4 Daniel Vetter 2013-04-02 10:54:34 UTC
Afaict the syslog file doesn't contain a kernel boot with the drm debug output enabled. Can you please double-check whether you've correctly amended your kernel cmdline and then just attach that part of syslog which contains messages for this particular boot-up?
Comment 5 Daniel Vetter 2013-04-08 10:18:49 UTC
Apparently not a regression.
Comment 6 Jani Nikula 2013-04-09 09:27:48 UTC
There's a surprising

[ 9.352478] [drm:drm_pci_agp_init] *ERROR* Cannot initialize the agpgart module.
[ 9.352505] DRM: Fill_in_dev failed.

in the 3.9.0-rc5 dmesg part. Do you have CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS enabled?

Please provide complete dmesg with debugs enabled as Daniel requested.
Comment 7 Jani Nikula 2013-04-30 06:26:11 UTC
Francesco, please provide the information requested.

We can't proceed without further information. Please provide the information requiested, preferrably running a recent kernel. Thank you.

Reporter not responding for six months, closing. Please reopen if the problem persists with newer kernels.
