Description Matt Stamp 2005-10-13 14:05:57 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur:2.6.12.5
Distribution:Debian Sid
Hardware Environment:Dell Inspiron 9100
Software Environment:Debian Sid, kernel, 2.6.12.5, Xorg 6.8.2, KDE 3.4.2
Problem Description:
Kernel 2.6.12.5 works fine reporting no power management support for this
processor as verified by intel. But the new 2.6.13 kernels report that it does
and severely slows my computer almost to a grinding halt. The only way I know
to stop this would be to remove the built-ins for processor and thermal zone.
Although I do not want to do this as I would like to continue to monitor my
temperature.
