Description Adam 2005-08-05 18:40:52 UTC
Most recent kernel where this bug did not occur: Unknown
Distribution: Gentoo Linux
Hardware Environment: Custom built, x86
Software Environment: Gnome environment
Problem Description: Occasionally, sound will stop working. A "ps ax -H" will
lock as if its trying to resolve something that it can't. I've noticed that a
particular progam -- Gnome's tetris clone -- causes this to happen far more
often that normal (when it has sound enabled), but this lock is not specific to
gnome's tetris.

Steps to reproduce:
Run a program that plays a good deal of short sound files.

Please try with 2.6.12{,.4} or 2.6.13-rc5.

Thanks,
