I get this error on boot since I upgraded the kernel to the 3.5 version: ERROR: resume: hibernation device '/dev/sda3' not found. I guess that the kernel parameter "resume=/dev/sda3" is no more recognised because sda3 is the root partition; I've always used a swap file. Obviously resume from hibernation isn't working anymore. Downgrading the 3.4.8 kernel fixes the issue.
Hello punkeroso, According to the archlinux URL, it seems the problem is resolved, so I'm gonna mark this bug as closed. BTW, if you do not add the udev hook, and use UUID instead, will hibernation work?
No, without the udev hook I get always the same error, even using the UUID.
Please re-open if this is still an issue w/ the latest upstream kernel.
