Distribution: Gentoo 2005.0 Hardware Environment: Laptop Samsung NV5000 Software Environment: acpid Problem Description: After cold start Sleep & Power button are working. If I switch AC to Bat - Sleep and Power Off don't working. Bat to AC too. After Sleep(3)state - events don't working. After Undock (DDCK) - events don't working. I tryd to restart acpid, and it's dasn't halp.

2.6.12-rc2-mm3 tested. Same result plus can't wake after echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep; and ddck do not confusd other events

Patch tested. Sleep(BT), Bat & PowerOff(BT) are working now , but cant wake afte sleep and crash on power down , with kernel 2.6.12-rc2-mm3 too. Kernel 2.6.11.7 can do wake and power down.
I made trays same kernels with Debian Sarge. and i fond some other results: Kernel 2.6.11.7 & 2.6.12-rc3 - events are blocked. Kerenl 2.6.12-rc2-mm3 & 2.6.12-rc2-mm3+ec_patch - every thing OK.
kernel 2.6.12-rc3-mm2, OK ;-)
Same thing with kernel 2.6.12-rc6-mm1 - blocking kernel 2.6.12-rc6 - OK
Kernel 2.6.12-mm2 - events are blocked.
kernel 2.6.13-rc1 tested. Result negative.

Did the fix for this problem make it into Linus' tree? If yes, please close this bug. If no, please push it into Linus' tree.
Please re-open if there is a failure in Linus' tree -- 2.6.13-rc6 or later.
