The realtek WiFi driver shipped with 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 is not very stable on my TP x120e, leading to dropped connections or frequent connection re-establishment with long timeouts. Installing the driver from the realtek site fixes the problem (rtl_92ce_92se_92de_linux_mac80211_0005.1230.2011) http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=48&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true#2782 See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/987014
OK, I know you have a Realtek PCI device, but your report is very incomplete! What device do you have? Post the appropriate line of the output of 'lspci -nn'. Telling me it is a TP x120e is not sufficient.
Sorry, I thought there is enough info in the referenced Ubuntu bugtracker entry... This is the device: 04:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter [10ec:8176] (rev 01)
This bug relates to a very old kernel. Closing as obsolete.
