Description Robert 2004-12-13 03:17:44 UTC
Distribution: Slackware 10.0 with slackware-current
Hardware Environment: P4 2.6HT, MB Asus P4C800-E 1GB RAM, 120 SATA Disk
Software Environment:
Problem Description: Can't burn CD neither DVD with external USB2.0 DVDRW
(Genesys Chipset).

Steps to reproduce: With k3b(/dev/sr0) it burn a little piece (I guess the
buffer space) and after that the drive stay quiet until some timeout (from SCSI
or USB-host) occurs.
With Gear-Pro (/dev/sg0) can't read the status of the drive.
With cdrecord -dev=ATAPI: -scanbus it finds the drive but trying to read/write
the system gets in the same timeout state.
