Distribution: Debian Hardware Environment: Dell Inspiron 3800, Nokia 6210 and 6310i Software Environment: Problem Description:Framing or parity error (ircomm) Steps to reproduce: Install irda-utils and put the Nokia phone near to the IRDA port. Open minicom on /dev/ircomm0 It works pretty well with a 2.4.24 kernel, but not with 2.6.7. irdadump shows the phone, but it is impossible to use an ircomm connection: Just no answer to any AT command. The kernel reports repeatedly "Framing or parity error!" regards Hadmut
Is this issue still present in kernel 2.6.14?
I'm assuming this issue is already fixed in recent 2.6 kernels. Please reopen this bug if it's still present in 2.6.16.5.
