Distribution: Slackware 10.0

Hardware Environment: Intel Motherboard D865PERL - CPU Pentium 4-HT 2,6GHz with
bus at 800MHz - HD SATA Samsung 80GB

Software Environment:
Problem Description: If i don't append to LILO the "acpi=ht" string the kernel
blocked with this or others message:

Unable to handle kernel NULL point deference<1>invalid operand: 0000 [#1]
PREEMPT SMP
Modules linked in:
CPU: 1

In the kernel .config the acpi support in actived but if i don't append acpi=ht
it blocked!!!

Moreover the sistem performance with HT and SMP actived (with acpi=ht) are very
low!!!
