Description Vladimir Snigur 2004-06-20 14:48:36 UTC
Distribution:Slackware-current(2004/06/20)
Hardware Environment:AthlonXP2000+, ASUS A7V8X-X
Software Environment:Linux-2.6.7, MPPE/MPPC-patch, KDE 3.2.2, acpid-1.0.3
Problem Description:subj. All standard ACPI-options enabled(timer,CPU,Button)

Steps to reproduce:to apply the patch from http://acpi.sourceforge.net
(2004/06/20) to the kernel 2.6.7(i don't think the MPPE/MPPC patch is
significant).
Kernel ACPI-options:
CONFIG_ACPI=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BOOT=y
CONFIG_ACPI_INTERPRETER=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BUTTON=y
CONFIG_ACPI_PROCESSOR=y
CONFIG_ACPI_BUS=y
CONFIG_ACPI_EC=y
CONFIG_ACPI_POWER=y
CONFIG_ACPI_PCI=y
CONFIG_ACPI_SYSTEM=y
CONFIG_X86_PM_TIMER=y

8Kb stacks.
Load KDE. Watch the clock in the tray running twice faster (the same effect in
textmode).
