glibc added pthread_setname_np and pthread_getname_np a while ago.
They don't have man pages, but I think they should.
I checked the git man-pages repository.

These pages have been added for the next man-pages release You can find the pages already now in the Git repo, see http://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/download.html
