Description Bernhard Gruber 2004-04-26 12:11:00 UTC
Distribution: Gentoo Linux 2.6.X
Hardware Environment: IBM Thinkpad 570E
Problem Description: After coming back from a suspend (before that it works!),
the lid button events of the notebook don't appear in /proc/acpi/event anymore
when opening/closing. Other buttons (Power Button) still work and
typing "cat /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state" gives back the correct state (with
the lid opened it gives back "open" and with the closed it gives
back "closed")! This problem occurs when the acpid-daemon is running as well as
when it is not running. It seems like the event-manager does not fully wake up?

Steps to reproduce: 1. Enter suspend
2. Wake up from suspend
3. "cat /proc/acpi/event"
