Description Emilio Gargiulo 2004-03-20 12:54:43 UTC
Distribution: Slackware 9.1
Hardware Environment: AMD K6/400MHz on Via Apollo (epox MVP3) and P4/2,4GHz on
Intel 845., 2 IDE Drives IBM IC35L120AVVA07-0 in software mirror with linux
RAID (md).
Software Environment: raid devices

Problem Description: Most write operation on root XFS filesystem on RAID
software seems to happens correctly, but after a simple reboot the files become
corrupted.
I happens also on a XFS filesystem on LVM2 device.

Steps to reproduce: the simple depmod -a generate the
/lib/modules/2.6.4/modules.* files. It seems ok, but if i suddelny do a sync and
a clean reboot, all new generated modules dependence files were corrupted.
