Description Thibault Mondary 2010-11-18 14:03:24 UTC
On acer aspire one A110L, the multifunction card reader (on the right side, with jmicron module) stopped working with 2.6.36.

It is not detected anymore by the kernel. Perhaps a problem with pciehp module.

Hi Thibault,

Could I persuade you to try a git bisect between 2.6.35->2.6.36 on this, please? Let me know if you don't think you can do that, or would like some help.

Thanks for the report!

- Chris.

Thibault, here's an update from bug #16119 by Eugene Shalygin:

"trick has changed from "pciehp.pciehp_force=1" to "pcie_ports=native
pciehp.pciehp_force=1" in my case with kernel 2.6.36"

I hope this'll solve your problem.
Comment 5 Thibault Mondary 2010-11-21 13:35:31 UTC
Thanks a lot, "pcie_ports=native" solves the problem !

Thibault
