Description nvaert1986 2024-03-05 08:13:44 UTC
Hello everyone,

I noticed that my Dell Precision is having ACPI error messages related unresolved symbols (a BIOS bug as suggested in dmesg?) and figured I should report it. It's a Dell Precision 3581 running BIOS version: 1.10.1.

Please let me know if any additional information is required.

Forgot to add: I'm running kernel 6.6.20 (I've tried 6.6.14 too, but it throws the same error messages.

Please ignore (unless something doesn't work for you). BIOSes are not perfect.

I actually am experiencing issues related to the Realtek ethernet interface on the docking station (which crashes periodically) and my wireless interface, which crashes when disconnecting from a network as per: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218562 (which is more stable when usb.autosuspend is set to -1) and https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218464 though I'm not sure these are related. I just figured I'd report it.
Comment 4 Artem S. Tashkinov 2024-03-06 10:06:21 UTC
Those are very unlikely to be related.
