This issue can not be reproduced reliably but it does occur on boot when audio devices are not visible and take a very long time to 'load' and show. I am using primarily the Sound Blaster AE-7. The log is filled with the below messages: 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel snd_hda_intel 0000:05:00.0: azx_get_response timeout, switching to single_cmd mode: last cmd=0x11170700 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:b:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:10:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:f:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel usb 7-4: device descriptor read/64, error -110 4/6/22 12:16 PM kernel usb 7-4: device descriptor read/64, error -110 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel usb 7-4: device descriptor read/64, error -110 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:11:707:ffffff3f 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:b:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:10:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:f:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:17 PM audit USER_AUTH pid=2873 uid=1000 auid=1000 ses=2 msg='op=PAM:authentication grantors=pam_faillock,pam_permit,pam_faillock acct="bednar" exe="/usr/bin/sudo" hostname=? addr=? terminal=/dev/pts/1 res=success' 4/6/22 12:17 PM audit USER_ACCT pid=2873 uid=1000 auid=1000 ses=2 msg='op=PAM:accounting grantors=pam_unix,pam_permit,pam_time acct="bednar" exe="/usr/bin/sudo" hostname=? addr=? terminal=/dev/pts/1 res=success' 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel usb 7-4: device not accepting address 4, error -62 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel usb 7-4: device not accepting address 5, error -62 4/6/22 12:17 PM kernel usb usb7-port4: unable to enumerate USB device 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:7:706:ffffffff 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_intel 0000:05:00.0: Too many BDL entries: buffer=1572864, period=49152 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:11:707:ffffff3f 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:b:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:10:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:19 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:f:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:20 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:11:707:ffffff3f 4/6/22 12:20 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:b:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:20 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:10:707:ffffff58 4/6/22 12:20 PM kernel snd_hda_codec_ca0132 hdaudioC0D1: out of range cmd 1:f:707:ffffff58 Info from the Alsa script: https://alsa-project.org/db/?f=eb42d62246a53a1a5a0d9487b741067b03ad8cbe
