dmesg.txt

Today, my freeze froze spontaneously while browsing the web with firefox.
I am using a Lenovo T14s with AMD Rzyen 4750U (internal GPU) with amdgpu, one external screen connected to a USB-C docking station.
The system had an uptime of ~3 hours.

I attached the dmesg output from the time of the crash, let me know if you need more information to debug this issue.

Xorg.0.log.old (the log that should contain the output of the crashed X server) is unfortunately empty.
Comment 2 Alex Deucher 2020-10-15 15:37:59 UTC
Please attach your full dmesg output. What kernel are you running?
Comment 3 cornelius.riemenschneider 2020-10-15 19:35:36 UTC
Kernel is 5.8.14-arch1-1.

I attached three dmesg outputs of the last two days, where each time the amdgpu driver seemed to cause a divide_error, and the screen froze.
Audio playback, and in one case, video encoding (zoom call) continued working until I reset the system via the SysRq keys.

And it crashed again.

crashing dmesg #5

I compiled my own 5.9.0 kernel without any arch linux specific patches, and just had two crashes (#5 and 6) within 10 minutes.
