Description Automne von Einzbern 2020-06-16 07:48:42 UTC
System hang at random moments even on headless servers (without any monitor or X server installed).

Here some testimonies and kernels logs : https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/66991

No issue on 5.6.

Please attach your dmesg output and xorg log (if using X).

And I don't have X (headless server) however I have a GPU (Ryzen 3200G with Vega chipset)
Comment 4 Automne von Einzbern 2020-06-17 23:03:41 UTC
Also on Kernel 5.8-rc1
Comment 5 Andrea Borgia 2020-10-04 10:33:51 UTC
Ryzen 3 2200G, had multiple random freezes with debian kernel package "linux-image-5.8.0-2-amd64". Now I am back to "linux-image-5.7.0-2-amd64" which was working nicely.

Other notable packages:
firmware-amd-graphics 20200918-1
amd64-microcode 3.20191218.1
Comment 6 Andrea Borgia 2020-11-14 17:46:34 UTC
Running linux-image-5.9.0-1-amd64 for quite some time now and it looks stable.
AFAIK this was the fix: https://lkml.org/lkml/2020/7/27/64
