Description Artem S. Tashkinov 2020-05-14 11:11:17 UTC
Steps to reproduce:

1.

# Enable fan 2020-04-28 15:28:22
echo -n "Enabling fan at 50/255 ... "
hwi=/sys/class/drm/card0/device/hwmon/hwmon1
test -d $hwi && echo 1 > $hwi/fan1_enable && echo 50 > $hwi/pwm1 && echo "Fan OK"

2. Suspend

3. Resume

Expected results: fan spinning at 50/255

Actual results: fan doesn't spin

Comment 2 Andreas Prittwitz 2020-06-20 18:32:37 UTC
I have the same problem on a Powercolor RX 5700 XT.

fan1_enable is set to 1 and when I enter

echo 50 > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/hwmon/hwmon0/pwm1

pwm1 is still "0" even though the fan is running.

lspci output:

Is this still an issue with 5.15.12?
