Description Olivier Crête 2019-08-19 23:14:49 UTC
Hardware is a ThinkPad x230, BT host is BCM20702A1 and this is 100% reproducible when brcm/BCM20702A1-0a5c-21e6.hcd is present, but otherwise is pretty random.

It didn't happen before I upgraded for Fedora 30 (from 29, so it broken around kernel 5.0 to 5.1 I think).

All I have to do is to connect my bluetooth headset and I get the following error, which looks like the same device is being registered more than once:

Aug 19 15:33:56 TesterTop4 kernel: list_add double add: new=ffff9309fb743a70, prev=ffff9309fb743a70, next=ffff930d8bedf240.

Comment 1 Olivier Crête 2019-08-21 15:41:44 UTC
Also fails on 5.2.9

I should mention that after I get this error, I'm pretty much guaranteed ot get a kernel lockup at some point, either the spinlock in kobject_add_internal() or the mutex inside netlink, which I assume is related to some thread holding it and stuck deeper in the net layer.
