Description Nate Graham 2019-07-09 19:43:02 UTC
I have a late 2016 kabylake HP Spectre X360 (model number 13-w013dx). Its touchpad is radically improved by using RMI4 mode, which I have done by setting the psmouse.synaptics_intertouch=1 kernel parameter. It would be nice if this was done automatically as a hardware quirk for this particular unit.
Comment 1 Dmitry Torokhov 2019-07-11 18:21:30 UTC
Can you please give me output of:

for port in /sys/bus/serio/devices/serio*; do echo -n "$port: "; cat $port/firmware_id; done
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2019-07-12 13:52:37 UTC
The output is:

/sys/bus/serio/devices/serio0: PNP: HPQ8001 PNP0303
/sys/bus/serio/devices/serio1: PNP: SYN323d SYN1e00 SYN0002 PNP0f13
