Upgrading to kernel package linux-image-5.0.0-16-generic and linux-image-5.0.0-17-generic cause the keyboard which is a USB 2 device connected to a USB C hub on my Dell XPS 13 to behave erratically. The keyboard is fine when plugged directly into the laptop's USB rather than into the USB C hub on 5.0.0-16, so it seems to be a USB-C problem in 5.0.0-16. The previous kernel (linux-image-5.0.0-15-generic) doesn't have this problem.

Please bring this issue up there, if it is still a problem in the latest kernel release.
I will close as a firmware update has resolved the issue.
